Nav or Content Imagery
When redesigning a web site, it is easy to dedicate most of time to the chrome or gui instead of content imagery. Later, when the site goes into production, the templates are built and the content is inserted as text. However, the pages that I’m most drawn to as a browser of the web are the websites where there is more of an emphasis on content imagery. Check out the example below where I’ve taken the Apple.com’s iMac page and in one example stripped out the navigation and in the other stripped out the content imagery. Which page are you more attracted to?
