When I’m working on Pop Art imagery or marketing materials that include photos, I try to keep in the back of my mind the types of imagery used by the well-known Pop Artists: Warhol, Ruscha, Jasper Johns, Claes Oldenburg (whose wife my cat is named after), etc.

Imagery of Brillo Pads, soup cans, industry, warplanes and the American flag. I try to select images with some iconic aspect. In that vein, I humbly present Ad Age’s Top 10 Advertising Icons of the Century.
