I enjoy the new Snapple ad campaign of “Return the Favor” where after someone says some nice things about Snapple, Snapple returns the favor.
Design is easy.
Designers make it hard. In some respects, I agree with this piece - we’ve all seen that kind of treatment. David Carson, while revolutionary, wasn’t a great communicator. But the concept, the concept, the thesis statement, it’s important. Not so important that it overwhelms the point, but important enough to take a few liberties here and there. Right?

Next time you do a logo, read this article. I think it applies to more than just logos, as well - I think the more you learn about a client (whether through a formal checklist or drinks over dinner), the better the work will be.
